1. What is MP3, WMA, OGG?
All these file types are music formats that are used to store audio data that you can play on your computer or other electronic devices. MP3 technology relatively new, it was introduced a few years ago and made quite a breakthrough in digital music. The major thing it introduced is a very high quality sound file which takes up low storage space. The quality of the music is CD-quality (44khz, Joint stereo). MP3, WMA, OGG files are compressed with a compression method that removes the sound frequencies that people can't hear. The original file (WAV) would be 10 to 20 times larger than the compressed one.
2. How can i play these files on my computer?
You can play these files via a software MP3 player. For instance you can use Winamp which was the first MP3 player on the market. It now offers a lot of features which includes skins, database browsing, internet radios, plugins and much more. Look into our section mp3/ogg players. You will find there links to some players.
3. How do i download mp3s from your site?
The First thing you have to do is to select a song and click on it. After that the download section will appear with. You will see a red button saying "download". The next step is to click on that icon using the right button of your mouse. This is really important, remember, not the left mouse button but the right. If you do this a menu will appear. The next step depends on what browser you are using. If you are using Internet Explorer or Opera select and click on the option "Save Target As...". If you are using FireFox or Netscape select and click on "Save Link As...". Now the final step, after you've clicked on the right option you will get to see a tab named "Save as..". Now you will have to select the location where to store your mp3 file. If you are doing this for the first time and you don't know anything about storing files, i would recommend you to save your file onto "Desktop". OK? So you see the tab.. Click on the cell next to the text saying "Save in:", a drop-down list will appear. Then find and click on "Desktop". So you have selected the file storage location. The last step is to click on the "Save" button at the bottom-right corner of the tab. DONE! So after all these steps your mp3 will be stored somewhere between your icons on the Desktop and you will have no problems finding and playing it.
For those more skilled:
You can use a download manager for downloading, but don't use it if there is a note not to use a dl manager. The benefits of a dl manager are: you can download the files faster; you can stop downloading whenever you want without losing the data and you can resume your downloading later.

4. I can't download the song, i get an error!
If you get an error like "server returned an extended information" or you have downloaded a small HTML page or an username and password is required, that song is probably broken and it's not existing at that location anymore. We can't do anything about it, we can just remove it from our database. The mp3s are stored somewhere else. MP3000.net is just a search site, that searches for mp3 files on the internet. We do not store any files on our servers, we just link to them. That's the way it is..
5. I can't play the downloaded song!
This means that the file does not have the appropiate extension. The file can be either a audio file (mp3, wma, ogg) or an archive (contains the audio file). So first rename the downloaded file to *.mp3 (*.wma *.ogg) and try to play it. If it doesn't work, the file is an archive. Rename the file to *.zip (*.rar, *.ace), open and extract it with WinZip(WinRar, WinAce). Please note to use the latest versions of these applications! If a password is needed, read 5.
6. I need a password to extract the files!
The password is written in the download section when you click on the song!
